Three separate bills in equity were filed against the Willow Grove Park Company, the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company and John T. Duff, Jr., to restrain the construction and operation of an amusement park on land situated in Delaware County, known as the Burd Orphan Asylum Tract and a part of an adjoining tract known as “Elim,” both adjacent to the western boundary of the City of Philadelphia.
