Per Curiam,

Montgomery County, on December 10, 1937, established a retirement system for county employes and officers, to commence January 1, 1938. Appellant, the duly elected prothonotary, who had served in that capacity from January 3, 1922, to January 3, 1938, immediately notified the county retirement board of his intention to become a member of the system. On December 31, 1937, he received his last salary payment, and on January 1st he mailed a personal check, as his payroll contribution, to the secretary of the retirement board.
