I. INTRODUCTION

On February 15, 2001, the plaintiff Katherine Paris, filed a pro se complaint against the Christiana Care Visiting Nurses Association (“Christiana Care”). Paris, a former secretary at Christiana Care, originally alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 29 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq., and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.
