Defendant pleaded guilty to home invasion (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 12 — 11) and was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment. His trial counsel filed a timely motion to withdraw the guilty plea which was denied. Defendant appeals, contending the hearing on the motion to withdraw the guilty plea was defective because of the failure of defendant’s attorney to comply with Supreme Court Rule 604(d) (107 Ill. 2d R. 604(d)).
