hln 1983, a jury found petitioner Rodney Williams guilty of aggravated robbery and murder in the first degree. He was sentenced as a habitual offender to an aggregate term of life imprisonment. We affirmed. Williams v. State, 281 Ark. 91, 663 S.W.2d 700 (1983), cert. denied, 469 U.S. 980, 105 S.Ct. 382, 83 L.Ed.2d 317 (1984) (Williams I). He subsequently filed a petition here seeking relief pursuant to our postconviction rule, Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 37.1 (1983). 1 The petition was denied. Williams v.
