Previous to tbe year 1877, Ilenry J. Fisher, sold and conveyed a tract of land containing nine hundred acres, more or less, situated on the Middle Fork of Reedy, in tlie county of Roane, to one W. II. Moore, in consideration of the sum of five thousand five hundred dollars which purchase-money was to be paid in installments with interest, and a vendor’s lien was retained to secure the payment thereof.
