Plaintiff-appellant Carolyn Crockett (“Crockett”) appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Wexler, /.), following a jury verdict, awarding her approximately $25,000 in connection with injuries she sustained while working on a locomotive owned and operated by her employer defendant-appellee Long Island Railroad (“LIRR”). The district court charged the jury under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (“FELA”), but declined Crockett’s request to instruct the jury to consider liability under the Boiler Inspection Act…
