We granted permission to appeal in this case pursuant to Tennessee Rule of Appellate Procedure 11 to determine the legality of the defendant’s sentence. The defendant, Amy Denise Sutton, 1 was convicted by a jury of theft of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
