| ]On May 9, 2012, plaintiff, National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2003-1 (“National Collegiate”), filed suit in the Shreveport City Court against defendant, J.T. Thomas II (“Thomas”), to collect on an alleged open student loan account in the amount of $16,082.66 together with interest and attorney fees. National Collegiate filed a motion for summary judgment along with a supporting memorandum and two affidavits. Defendant filed an opposition to the MSJ along with his affidavit.
