This is an application for a mandamus to compel the county commissioners of Douglas county “forthwith to call an election for the city of Omaha, for the purpose of electing two justices of the peace for each precinct in said cityN The application was filed and submitted on the 29th of' October, 1885, the day of election being the 3d of November thereafter.
