REASONS FOR DECISION

This case presents what seems to be an ever-present struggle between Congress and the Supreme Court regarding the extent to which individuals’ religious freedoms may be limited.

FACTS

On September 28, 1998, Patrick Buxton, Sr., and Penny D. Buxton (“Debtors”) filed a voluntary petition for relief under chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code and on that day an order for relief was duly entered. Keith A. Rodriguez (“Trustee”) is the standing chapter 13 trustee in this division. On the same day, the Debtors also filed a Chapter 13 Plan 1 (“Plan”)…
