This appeal concerns the liability of the Board of Education of the City of New York ("the Board”) for its failure to adequately supervise a sixth grader during a school outing. A jury found that as a consequence of the Board’s negligent supervision, plaintiff left the grounds of a park her class was visiting and went to a nearby pizzeria to purchase pizza. Upon leaving the pizza shop, plaintiff was accosted and then raped by two boys.
