The relator, Frank Siegal, filed in the superior court of Cook county a petition for a writ of mandamus to compel defendants, the village of Skokie and the president, treasurer, clerk, trustees and fire and police commissioners of the village, to reinstate relator as a member of the police department of the village and for the payment of salary as a patrolman from the date of his allegedly wrongful discharge.
