Alvin R. Turner, appellant, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was duly charged by an information in the district court of Johnson county with the crime of murder in the first degree in shooting and killing John R. Keach. Upon a trial, the jury found the defendant guilty as charged and fixed the punishment at life imprisonment.
