This case involves a computation of the amount due on a mortgage foreclosure and taxation of costs. In the foreclosure proceedings defendants appeared by attorney, but did not answer. The bill was taken as confessed, and decree rendered upon testimony taken in open court.
The mortgage was given on December 21, 1908, for the sum of $1,602.15, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum. At the time the mortgage was executed, there were taxes standing against the property, which the mortgagee discovered must be paid before the mortgage would be recorded.
