On January 16, 2018, Defendant Hawaii Nurses' Association Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 50 ("Defendant" or "HNA") removed this action to this court from the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii (the "state court") after the state court issued a 30-day preliminary injunction on January 3, 2018 that enjoined HNA from certain union-related activities.
