The suit is on the following promissory note:
“St. Louis, Mo., 8-11, 1900.
“One day after date we promise to pay to the order of Louis Eriedman, two hundred and fourteen 60-100 dollars, for value received, negotiable and payable at the office of the Union Trust Company of St. Louis, with interest after maturity at the rate of eight per cent per annum.
