*315Defendant is charged by indictment with the crimes of criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree (Penal Law § 165.50); criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree (Penal Law § 165.45 [5]); criminal mischief in the fourth degree (Penal Law § 145.00 [1]); and unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree (Penal Law § 165.05 [1]).
