It is alleged complainant-, the “St.Louis Bridge Company,” is the legal successor of the “Illinois and St. Louis Bridge Company,” which was incorporated in 1868, and which constructed a bridge over the Mississippi river from Bast St. Louis to St. Louis. The work was completed on the 4th day of July, 1874, and from that time'on the bridge was operated by the original corporation until September 20, 1878, when it was sold, under a decree of court, and passed to complainant, and has since been operated and controlled by it.
