In this accounting proceeding, intricate questions of construction of the will have been presented for determination. These issues have been briefed with commendable thoroughness by the numerous counsel for the parties. The testator created a trust of the residue for the benefit of his wife for life. Upon her death he directed the sum of $250,000 be set aside from the fund to be retained by the executors in further trust with the income thereof payable to his brother, Alf Hayman.
