Simpson Timber Company, Inc., appeals (1) from a summary judgment in favor of Travelers Indemnity Company, Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, and other companies subscribing to a joint policy of insurance, and (2) from a partial summary judgment in favor of Aetna Casualty and Surety Company which, as the sole underwriter, insured Simpson against certain risks under a separate policy.

Simpson manufactured and supervised the installation of a wood stave flume for a potash processing plant in Utah which was being built by Great Salt Lake Minerals and Chemicals Corporation. Travelers Indemnity…
