The petitioner, Juan Perez, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The court granted the petition for certification to appeal filed by the petitioner. On appeal, the petitioner claims that his trial counsel provided ineffective assistance by failing to ensure that his plea of guilty to murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (c) was voluntary.1 We affirm the judgment of the habeas court.
