HARRIS, Associate Judge:

In a jury trial, appellant was convicted of robbery. D.C.Code 1973, § 22-2901. 1 On appeal, he seeks a new trial on the ground that the trial court improperly denied his pretrial motion to suppress certain inculpa-tory statements which appellant had given to a police detective shortly after his arrest. We affirm.
