This is a hearing pursuant to section 754 of the Family Court Act to determine an appropriate disposition for Anthony J., a 14-year-old who needs supervision and treatment.

The facts of this case are undisputed. The petitioner, attendance officer for the Syracuse school district, filed a verified petition alleging that the respondent was a person in need of supervision (hereinafter referred to as PINS) based upon habitual truancy.
