This is an appeal from a judgment of the Office of Worker’s Compensation, dismissing plaintiffs claim for worker’s compensation benefits.
FACTS
On April 22, 1993, Charles C. Smith, Jr., plaintiff, was allegedly injured as a result of a fire occurring during the course and scope of his employment with Grand Isle Shipyard (Grand Isle) while he was welding on an offshore dock. Plaintiff alleges that the injuries he sustained rendered him disabled and unable to engage in any gainful employment for a period of approximately eleven months.
