OPINION

BAKER, Judge.

Appellant-plaintiff Nexus Group, Inc. (Nexus), appeals the trial court’s order granting summary judgment in favor of appellees-defendants Heritage Appraisal Service and Alan Landing (collectively, Heritage). Nexus argues that the trial court erroneously concluded that Nexus’s defamation action against Heritage is barred by the anti-SLAPP statute 1 and that there are genuine issues of material fact precluding summary judgment.
