Kenneth Harlan Winchell appeals his jury conviction on six counts of willfully filing false income tax forms in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7206(1), and on one count of corruptly obstructing and impeding the administration of the internal revenue laws in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7212(a). He contends that the district court erred in refusing to instruct the jury regarding specific intent under § 7206(1), and, alternatively, that the evidence was insufficient to support his conviction on the six counts related to that section.
