'íhe only question presented by this case is, as to the proper location of a.Spanish grant, under which the plaintiff claims. The requéte expresses the desire of the grantee to establish himself upon a tract of land called uel Encinal Grande (Grande Chéniére), which forms a sort of island between two lakes, and runs in a direction down the river, distant therefrom about one league, and is cut across by a bayou called bayou of the Little Lake.
