SULLIVAN, Judge:

On June 17, 1987, appellant was tried by a military judge sitting alone as a special court-martial at Norton Air Force Base, California. Contrary to his pleas, he was *84found guilty of wrongful distribution of marijuana, in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 912a. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. The convening authority approved the sentence as adjudged.
