Respondent Lewis Novod was admitted to the practice of *83law in New York by this court on February 14, 1972, and has at all relevant times maintained an office for the practice of law, in the First Judicial Department. On or about September 26, 1989, respondent was found guilty, after a jury trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, of seven counts of perjury before a Federal Grand Jury, in violation of 18 USC § 1623; seven counts of wire fraud, in violation of 18 USC § 1343; six counts of mail fraud, in violation of 18 USC § 1341; and…
