FINAL COPY S24A1386. NELSON v. STRICKLAND et al. PINSON, Justice. Henry Strickland lost a close election for city commissioner in Waycross, Georgia, and he filed a petition to contest the election. The trial court granted the petition, concluding that the election had used an outdated map of voting districts from 2005 and that, based on the districts as set by the “right” map, 32 voters voted in the wrong districts, which was enough to have potentially affected the outcome of Strickland’s election.
