ROWE, Justice.
This is a suit by Joshua A. Muss (Muss), the purchaser of an automobile manufactured in Germany, against Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc. (MBNA), the domestic distributor for the foreign manufacturer, to recover damages attributed to the car’s defective suspension system. Recovery was sought for breach of an express repair warranty and for deceptive trade practices under TEX.BUS. & COM.CODE ANN. §§ 17.41-63 (Vernon Supp.1987) (the DTPA). In addition to denying Muss’ claims on the merits, MBNA pleaded in bar the four-year statute of limitations under TEX.BUS. & COM.CODE ANN.…
