I. PROCEDURAL HISTORY
Plaintiff appeals from four separate orders of the trial court sustaining defendants’ preliminary objections and dismissing plaintiff’s third amended complaint with *248prejudice. The orders sustaining the preliminary objections of Michael Smerconish, Sam Katz and Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. are dated October 20,2004, while the order pertaining to the City of Philadelphia, James Cuorato and Vincent Dougherty is dated September 16, 2004.
