OPINION AND ORDER
PIERAS, District Judge.
This is an action brought under § 205(g) of the Social Security Act (“the Act”), as amended 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), to obtain judicial review of a final decision of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (“the Secretary”) denying plaintiffs claim for disability insurance benefits. We note from the outset that in reviewing the decision of the Secretary, we need only conclude whether or not the determination of the Secretary was founded upon substantial evidence in the record as a whole. 5 U.S.C. § 706(2) (1977); Richardson v.
