This matter is currently before the Court on Plaintiffs Motion to Amend the Complaint [12 & 13]. 1

I. BACKGROUND

Plaintiff Deborah Griggers (“Plaintiff’) was employed as a nurse by Hemlock Anesthesia Associates (“Hemlock”) beginning on October 15, 1990. Like all of the physicians and nurses employed at Hemlock, Plaintiff applied for and received from Defendant a long-term disability insurance policy (“the Policy”).
