for the Court:

¶ 1. On October 3, 2013, Lewis was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon. After a two-day trial, a Hinds County Circuit Court jury found Lewis guilty of both charges. He was sentenced to serve ten years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for aggravated assault and five years for possession of a firearm by a felon, with the sentences running consecutively.
