This proceeding is an episode of the Sumner litigation, long since become notorious, and more particularly of what is known as the Ropert case in that litigation, recently decided by this court, ante 16. In that case the court was requested by Messrs. Humphreys, Thompson & Watson, attorneys in the case, to investigate the conduct of counsel on both sides, such conduct having been questioned.
