1Opinion of the Court

—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Giaccio, J.), rendered December 12, 1985, convicting him of murder in the second degree and robbery in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing (Agresta, J.), of those branches of the defendant’s omnibus motion which were to suppress certain statements made by him to law enforcement officials and physical evidence seized by the police.
