Dear Representative Paul D. Roan,

¶ 0 This office has received your request for an official Attorney General Opinion in which you ask, in effect, the following question:

In general, what is considered a "public road" with regard to roads under the jurisdiction of county commissioners?

¶ 1 The answer to your question requires a review of State statutes and constitutional provisions as well as case law pertaining to public roads.
