FAY, Senior Circuit Judge:

The United States filed the instant lawsuit on Assumption Agreements executed by John L. Varner (‘Varner”) on October 11, 1982, wherein Varner assumed the original debt of William N. Scarbor (“Scarbor”). The district court entered judgment in favor of the United States in the amount of six hundred forty three thousand three hundred five dollars and ninety seven cents ($643,305.97).
