Vernon and Marilyn Morris appeal from a Court of Appeals decision holding that the respondent, International Yogurt Company (IYC) did not violate the Franchise Investment Protection Act (FIPA), RCW 19.100, when it sold them a franchise. The Morrises contend that IYC violated FIPA by failing to comply with the statute's requirements for exemption from registration and by failing to disclose to them a material fact concerning the franchise.
