Defendant is charged with unlawful solicitation of ground transportation at an airport, pursuant to Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1220-b. His bench trial was conducted before this Court, commencing on January 24, 2001. At the close of the People’s case, defendant moved for a trial order of dismissal, alleging that one or more elements of the alleged crime had not been *171proved by legally sufficient evidence.
