Error to a judgment of the Circuit Court of Brunswick county in an action of trespass on the case. Judgment for the plaintiff. Defendant assigns error.

This is a writ of error to a judgment in favor of the administratrix of George T. Blanford, deceased, against the Southern Bailway Company for the sum of $10,000, with interest from the date of the verdict of the jury, as damages for the death of Blanford, caused as alleged hy the negligence of the defendant company.

Blanford was a locomotive engineer on the Atlantic and Dan-ville Division of the defendant company, and received injuries from which he died by reason of running into an open switch on the night of the 23d of April, 1904, within the company’s yard limits at Lawrenceville; the…
