OPINION

WALTERS, Justice.

We granted certiorari to the district court, pursuant to SCRA 1986, 12-501, to review the district court’s denial of a motion to correct or modify the petitioner’s sentence. The petitioner, convicted of a fourth degree felony and a misdemeanor, was sentenced consecutively to eighteen months’ imprisonment for the felony and 364 days for the misdemeanor.
