ESCHBACH, Circuit Judge.
Robert Paters was convicted by a jury of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a) and 846, and was sentenced to 121 months’ imprisonment. We affirmed Paters’ conviction and sentence. United States v. Paters, 16 F.3d 188 (7th Cir.1994). He now seeks vacation of his conviction, under 28 U.S.C. § 2255, on the ground that he received ineffective assistance from his attorney during the plea negotiation process.
