Ten years in the penitentiary! What a price to pay for warped ideas! Who is this man Ben Boloff that he should thus be considered such a menace to society? Let the record speak.

Boloff came to this country from Europe when a boy 18 years of age and has resided almost continuously in Oregon for the past 20 years. Never before has he been convicted of any crime. He has never attended school a single day in his life and cannot read nor write. All he knows is hard work — how to dig a ditch or lay sewer pipe.
