This appeal primarily presents issues concerning the choice of law in international copyright eases and the substantive meaning of Russian copyright law as to the respective rights of newspaper reporters and newspaper publishers. The conflicts issue is which country’s law applies to issues of copyright ownership and to issues of infringement.
