This cause comes before the court on a motion for habeas corpus, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2242, filed by a federal prisoner..The petitioner, Charles Joseph Davis, III, was tried in the Eastern District of North Carolina on three indictments charging him with interstate transportation of falsely made and forged securities, in violation of the provisions of 18 *803U.S.C. § 2314.
