Pan-Islamic Trade Corporation (“Pan-Islamic”) brought suit against sixteen oil companies, 1 claiming that it was prevented from selling Algerian crude oil which it had purchased from Sonatrach, the national oil company of Algeria, as a result of an unlawful worldwide boycott and conspiracy against Algerian oil entered into by the defendant oil companies.
