The owner of a yacht sued the manufacturer of the yacht’s engines and the manufacturer’s subsidiary, asserting various claims for damages allegedly suffered as a result of major engine failure. The jury rendered a verdict in favor of the vessel’s owner on his claim for breach of the implied warranty of merchantability. On appeal, the vessel owner asserts that the trial court erred in granting a take-nothing judgment against him, notwithstanding the jury’s verdict.
